As a parent, you influence your child more than you may think, and more than they will tell you!

You do not need to be an expert.  You just need to gather some information, get the conversation started, and be honest with your child.

This booklet has been created based upon the specific information that parents themselves in Grey and Bruce Counties have told us they need.  It is meant to get you started on finding the right information and the right words to talk to your children and alcohol and other drugs.  It provides information about some of the more commonly used drugs, scenarios about alcohol and other drug use that can help you to be prepared to deal with certain situations if they happen in your family.  The booklet also identifies signs that your child may be using alcohol or other drugs, what to do if you suspect your child is using alcohol or other drugs, and more.
